Mary Winkler, the wife of preacher Matthew Winkler, has been found guilty of voluntary manslaughter instead of the first degree murder charge the prosecution wanted.

Her sentence will be between three and six years. This is a lot more optimistic than the 60 years she was facing and if they give time off for good behavior she could be out sooner.

Justice was served.

   Justice WILL be served when Mary meets her Maker. Let’s pray she truly repents before she dies. I feel for Matt’s parents. Mary will sue for custody of the girls. Let’s pray that Mary’s theatrical attorney won’t help get the girls. She might accidentally shoot them.

   Did the jury forget all the facts, and simply pity the lady with the soft-spoken southern voice? I’m angry. Prisons are filled with people who have only hurt themselves. Mary KILLED Matt. And my bet is that she will sell her lies and retire fat and happy. Mary said she didn’t want to destroy Matt’s reputation. When the movie is released, we will she is she meant what she said. JUSTICE WAS NOT SERVED!!!!

   Jane,

   I’m not positive but I think it’s illegal for anyone to benefit from a crime by selling their story.

   His parents have already turned the oldest daughter against her. She shot her husband. If you knew anything at all about depression you would understand how she could have pulled that trigger and not realized it until she heard the noise.

   I know. When I was diagnosed with depression I can’t remember leaving the doctor’s office, driving to the pharmacy, getting out of the car and going in. I remember passing the prescription to the pharmacist and the next thing I remember is I was home. I’m sure lots of things happened in the meantime, but I was not in the frame of mind to comprehend any of it.

   This is unbelievable!

   Hell has no furry as the furry of a woman scorn!
   Abuse is wrong and murder is the ultimate form of abuse.
   99% of divorce attorneys know the best way to start a divorce proceeding is to file a PFA, (Protection from abuse order).
   The anti-male form of bigotry and discrimination has now reached a level that has allowed a woman to walk away from a life sentence for cold blooded murder. Keep in mind he was in bed sleeping when she shot him in the back.
   This same anti-male bias is played out around the country everyday in divorce courts and child custody cases.

   It’s now open season on the American male. All you need to do is accuse a man of abuse and you can get away with murder. This man couldn’t defend himself from the grave and the prosecution didn’t convince the jury he was not abusive in spite of his profession as a man of God and no previous accusations of abuse.
   What chance do you have for a fair trail in America today?

   No burden of proof was needed to accuse this man of abuse, only one accusation from a woman trying to stay out of jail.

   There is no burden of proof required for the PFA only an accusation!
   I will write this again, there is no burden of proof required for the PFA only an accusation!
   Most judges want to be viewed as sympathetic to the plight of an abused women during a
   re-election campaign so they issue PFA’s like traffic tickets only based on one accusation.

   We have enough wisdom to not allow women to testify against there husband in a criminal court of law because we know they are biased, but we don’t make the connection when it comes to accusations of abuse??

   Attacking the victim is an old trick used by defense attorneys to derive sympathy for their client and gain a lighter sentence.

   Gentleman…It’s the system ..It’s bad, biased and we get to pay for it with our blood and wealth! The message is clear, Sleep alone & lock your door or move to a country that’s legal system is not filled with politics and anti-male bigotry.
   Better yet vote these political animals out of office ASAP!

   What do you think the organizers of the Boston Tea party would think of our legal system??
