Hillary Hauls Out Her Southern Accent Again; This Time To Blacks in New York

Here’s the commentary to the video:

Sen. Hillary Clinton did it again! The former first-lady-turned-presidental-hopeful broke out in a singsong Southern twang before a black audience — this time in NYC!. Clinton was addressing the National Action Network, a civil rights group founded by Rev. Al Sharpton, on Friday…

Senator Clinton, you are Cal’s favorite for president, so on behalf of Cal I ask you to use your regular accent you use when you’re not campaigning in front of an African-American audience. I assure you they will be able to understand your words.

And be a bit quiet about cleaning up “messes” in the White House after what was done in 2001.

Absolutely Beautiful! Rerun to Calm Heating Tempers.

I thought this repeat of an earlier post would be something that could cool down some of the discussion going on about genocide happening or not happening. Enjoy.

In honor of my American Indian heritage and my Christianity, I present to you Amazing Grace sung in the Cherokee language.

Amen.

The Story of a Fallen Blue Angel

1_22_042207_bule_angel.jpg

Lt. Cmdr. Kevin J. Davis

BOSTON — Even as a young boy, Navy Blue Angels Lt. Cmdr. Kevin Davis was intrigued by speed.

“He was fascinated with airplanes from the time he was little,” former neighbor Betty Sweeney said. “He knew what he wanted to do, and he did it. That’s the only relief, that he went doing what he wanted to do.”

The 32-year-old Navy lieutenant commander was killed Saturday when the F/A-18 Hornet jet he piloted as a member of the Blue Angeles team crashed during an air show in a residential area of Beaufort, S.C.

He joined the Blue Angels in September 2005. A Navy statement said the pilot had been on the team for two years — and this was his first year as a demonstration pilot.

Another former neighbor, Tom McGill, taught at Taconic High School, where Davis’ father, John, was principal. McGill said John Davis and his wife, Ann, who now live in Aiken, S.C., were in the crowd at the air show Saturday.

“BEAUFORT, S.C. — A somber crowd watched as six jets flew overhead in formation at an air show where a Navy Blue Angel pilot died in a crash the day before.

Smoke streamed behind one of the jets as it peeled away from the others to complete the “missing man formation,” the traditional salute for a lost military aviator.

Sunday’s air show at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort began with a tribute to the Navy Blue Angel pilot whose aircraft plunged to the ground Saturday as the elite aviators were coming together for their final formation.”

“The spirit of the pilot is in the arms of a loving God,” said Rob Reider, a minister who was the announcer for the air show.

May God rest his soul and may his family be comforted by our Lord.

Where does a parent turn?

Many of us know of autism but it is personal for Kevin Aylward at Wizbang.

The Economics Of Autism
All three of our boys, twins age 5 and a 3-year-old, are autistic. Anecdotally I hear I’m only two children away from establishing some sort of world record, as I was told that the O’Donnell family featured earlier this year on Extreme Makeover Home Edition with 5 out of six children on the autism spectrum is the most on record in a single family in the United States.

If the financial crush of providing treatment to a single autistic child is staggering (estimates are that it will cost over $3 million dollars per child over their lifetime), imagine my dilemma. There’s a variety of services and programs available to autistic children none of which are covered by the vast majority of private health insurers. There are intensive therapies with scientifically proven results available, again not covered by insurance. Do you want to know who our system in the United States has entrusted (or rather mandated) to be responsible “solving” the autism problem?

Well worth the read and let me say Mr. Aylward, thanks for sharing.
