I didn’t know how to categorize this. It’s a ridiculous story but some may see it as sad. You deside. ![]()
Written by GussA man in the US is suing IBM for $5m in a wrongful dismissal case after he was fired for visiting adult internet chat rooms while at work.

Well, I think the Internet IS his psychological problem–or symptom thereof. It’s really a sin problem -and it is an addiction –i.e. the porn side of internet use. There have been news items about how addictions alter brain structures, ruin our pleasure receptors/neurons –so that they don’t respond well to ordinary pleasures but require the addictive substance in increasing quantity to get the same high.
I wrote a life skills program once –we used a lobster pot and put a rubber chicken leg inside –and had a rubber lobster –and we showed how the lobsters just go crazy for the smell and taste of this chicken and go right into the trap after it –but cannot get out. And so they meet their doom on our dinner plates. The point was that when people tell us to avoid drugs, including nicotine and alcohol, (and porn) there is a good reason. Too many people go after the forbidden, dangerous stuff and cannot get out.
