This is a very small blog in the vast blogosphere, but our goal from the beginning was to try to cool down the hate-speech and politicization of every topic in our great country.
Yesterday Sue wrote a nice column telling of Sen. Tim Johnson’s remarkable recovery from his stroke and his being able to return to work soon.
We wished him well, and on most of the conservative blogs you will see that same wish if they published the story.
That’s why it’s disheartening to read the comments on the Huffington Post regarding Tony Snow’s announcement he is leaving before Mr. Bush’s presidency ends and he says it’s for financial purposes.
Why do people wish death and bad things on other people over politics? Is it because they are like this normally? If so, I pity them.

This is not Huffington post and it’s not HRP. They have different standards. By posting this, it kind of shows pettiness. Who cares what goes on over a Huffington post or HRP or any other blog.

There is negativity towards other people everywhere. Some people simply do not have the capacity to find the good in those with whom they disagree.
I must admit there are those individuals who I do not believe should hold positions of power, however, I would never wish them any ill.
We can’t change what others will do and accept. We can only hope that we remain decent people who respect others.

I put that in there to show an example of what this country has become. We never refer anyone to HRP, but we have linked to HuffPo in the past. Now you know why I don’t like stories originating from that blog, but that’s not the point of the post.
The point of the post is people wishing someone else dead and a long slow one at that. That’s not right and it doesn’t matter where it comes from. Go over to any of the far left blogs and it’s common talk there and common knowledge they talk that way.
Calling everyone in this administration a murderer is also a common thread, no matter if the person is a lowly intern. The point is we are trying to stop it and it is widespread and I hate to tell you this, but mostly on the left.

I firmly agree that anyone wishing someone dead is never acceptable, and the nonsense which goes on concerning this sitting President and his administration should be curtailed by those who own these blogs in my opinion.
Fact and discussion are wonderful things, wishing personal harm or death to someone should never be condoned.

We do all know it and I should have said with the blogging team we have in place here it will never happen and stay up as any one of us will delete it as soon as we see it.
