Speaks for itself.
Written by GussU.S. troops in Iraq will receive at least 1,000 fewer special armored vehicles than expected this year due to the amount of time needed for shipment, the Pentagon said on Wednesday.
Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell said the Defense Department expected defense contractors to produce 3,900 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles this year. But only 1,500 would make it to the war zone — down from the Pentagon’s previous shipment target of 2,500 to 3,000.
“If we could get 1,500 to theater by the end of this year, that would be a positive development,” Morrell said.

I don’t think it speaks for itself because I don’t trust Rueters.
I don’t trust Associated Press anymore, either.

Big Mo,
I’ve invited you to blog on this site so that you can post articles or whatever you want from publications you trust. Send me a list of people you do hold in high esteem and I’ll try to accommodate you so that everything you read here won’t leave a bad taste in your mouth. I’m serious, I’ll try to take your feelings into consideration when posting.

Nah. That’s not quite my intention. It’s a bigger problem than me just throwing up sources that I do trust.
I WANT to trust Rueters and AP. If we’re to have wire services, they need to BE trustworthy. Rueters and AP lost trust by publishing stories that were ill-sourced, not fact-checked and written by people with an agenda in mind.
I’ll be writing about that over at HRP quite soon.
