Barack Obama is the latest of the Democratic presidential candidates to attend a Sunday worship service and give a campaign speech.

When is the IRS going to crack down on churches that allow this?

I guess when a Republican tries it.

I can’t understand why churches are exempt from taxes anyway. Tax them all.

Go ahead and tax God if you want. I wouldn’t, but the churches that are mixing politics with religion should be taxed as any other political organization.

Actually what disturbs me about this is how much Sen. Obama clearly misunderstands the Sermon on the Mount. Compare what he says to what it really means here:

Obama took that sermon completely out of context. The Lord was not speaking about physical dwellings. That was an analogy, which had nothing to do with a “princple of brotherhood exemplified by the church.”

Many people take that sermon out of context, thinking it is a guide for good living. It isn’t. It is Christ explaining how you get right with God.
