Sadly, I am posting on the same topic today. My absolute best friend in the entire world, my temporary roommate Linda, had to put her beloved little girl Gigi to sleep on Saturday. We had to hold onto each other when it was done because I think I may have loved Gigi nearly as much - and for nearly 18 years.

They are the critters who give our daily lives texture and meaning and sometimes, our only bit of fun. Certainly my little Tim, the bluepoint Siamese who loves dogs, is a bright spot for both of us right now. His nickname is Froot Loop - I think that says it all. Tim has his pit bull Zeus and all is right with the world. My other cat Sam thinks we are ALL nuts and wants no part of any of it. He's just marking time until Friday when he and I move to the new house. Timmy will follow later - Linda needs him right now - a lot. She needs "silly" right now more than I do.

And if my pantheon of beloved animals aren't there, I don't want to go, thank you so much!
