I admit it, I am a country music junkie. I love absolutely anything by George Jones, and when it comes to gospel music, Vestal Goodman had one of the most beautiful voices I had ever heard. While this video has a few rough patches in the beginning, to me it is well worth sharing.
Have a wonderful friday!

Oh, Sue! You have no idea how this has blessed my heart today!
I think I sent this same video to you a couple of months ago.
I have a version of Vestal singing the song with the Gaither Homecomeing Folks. Just as beautiful.
I love gospel music and there isn’t a morning I wake up when some gospel song isn’t going through my head. It lifts my soul!
On Sunday I will have my sixtieth birthday. I’ve been dreading this birthday for a couple of months now. Yes, it’s just a number, but to me it has significance. It means I have more years behind me than in front of me and how I long for that Angel Band to surround me and bear me away on its snow white wings to my Immortal Home.
Like any person I don’t want to die, but I am at peace with my Redeemer and am ready for Him when He’s ready for me. I look forward to the day when I no longer have to be concerned with what goes on on this earth that is becoming more and more secular and less and less Christian.
Again, you have no idea how much I have been blessed to hear this first thing in the morning. A million thank-yous!
