For Your Listening Pleasure—And Mine

Gospel music is my favorite genre of music. I love Lynda Randle because she has such a beautiful voice, and because her key is one I can sing.
Listen to this beautiful song of praise, “I’m Free”:
When my mother died I wanted “Peace, Be Still” as sung by Candy Hemphill Christmas to be played at her funeral.
Since I was in Maine, and had only the video version of the song I called my neighbor, who is a gospel singer, to ask if he had it on CD or tape. He didn’t, but he called Candy’s father who offered to FedEx it to me so I could use it.
As it turned out my cousins had a recording studio and were able to transfer this song, that means so very much to me, to tape.
It comforted my heart and I hope it does yours too.
