Unpredictable indeed. That is why I wonder if Huckabee can make a move there which would give him momemtum further in to the primaries.

Again, money would be a huge factor even if he did finish well in Iowa.

Iowa is a very unpredictable place. Look at what happened with Karry in 04.

Guss:

There were numbers out yesterday that show Huckabee running third in Iowa. That could make things a bit more interesting, but I just don't see him breaking through.

If he did with the little he has raised it would prove you can at least secure the nomination without billions in the till.

Guss:

I agree with you that the former governor is probably the most honest candidate man or woman on either side running for President.

He is well spoken, always presents first rate answers to questions and is not afraid to stand up for what he believes. One would think that would make him the obvious choice of the republican base but his lack of national security experience on any level is hurting his candidacy in my opinion.

As he himself said, he gets a lot of the "morality" questions in debates and also in town hall meetings he has conducted. The problem with those is that so much of what he believes is settled law to the contrary. Would he appoint conservative judges to the Supreme Court if he were elected, yes I think so, but is that enough?

I like Mike Huckabee and would vote for him without hesitation if he were the nominee but I think the best we can hope for is to see him ofered the VP slot. If that ticket were to be elected, I would think he could have valuable input into any incoming administration.

For the life of me I can't understand why conservatives aren't supporting this man. He is a minister of God and probably the only honest man running on the republican side. People are crying that he is for big government. What the heck do they think we have now? The republicans have run up the debt to record highs. Honesty and integrity mean more to me than some spiel from someone that reminds me of a used car salesman. That's just my opinion.
