It seems that it’s going to be impossible for either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama to enter the convention in Denver in August and have enough delegates already to win the nomination.
It looks as though it will come down to the superdelegates, those upper-echelon of the Democratic Party who have it in their power to make back-room deals where neither candidate wins but someone else (Al Gore) is drafted.
Hillary Clinton is fighting for all she’s worth and is trying to figure out a way to get Obama to make a mistake that would be fatal to his candidacy, and then holds out hope that he could be her vice-presidential running mate.
While I can’t figure out the game, I never fail to give her credit and if there’s a way, even if it means the Democrats lose this year so she can come back in four years, she will do it.
Here’s what Obama thinks of his being the vice-presidential candidate:
Makes sense to me, but never underestimate the political power of a Clinton, even if it means destroying their party.

All along I have said I would never count a Clinton out. As far as Obamas statement, I watched him deliver the same speech yesterday and thought it was a good couple of lines.
I would hope he would stick by these words as I do not think he should tie himself to the Clinton’s in any way shape or form. But, the party bosses have not yet begun to work on him. Like I have said before, I will be the first and happily so to admit if I am wrong on a ticket with these two as running mates and for Obama’s sake I hope that is the case but my feeling right now is that this is the direction this mess is heading.
