Barack Obama’s camp is not giving any support of a re-vote in Florida, and the Florida Democratic Congressional delegation has said they don’t support a re-do, so it looks as though we’re back to a lock out for the Florida delegates if someone doesn’t soon blink.

Washington, DC – The Members of Florida’s Democratic Delegation in the U.S. House of Representatives issued the following statement regarding the seating of Florida’s delegates at the DNC National Convention this August.

“We are committed to working with the DNC, the Florida State Democratic party, our Democratic leaders in Florida, and our two candidates to reach an expedited solution that ensures our 210 delegates are seated.

“Our House delegation is opposed to a mail-in campaign or any redo of any kind.”

One Response to “Florida Congressional Dems Opposed to Any Re-do of Vote”

What a mess they have created for themselves. I would have to think that perhaps constituents are letting their Congressmen know they have no intention of helping foot the bill for a re-do.

All parties knew the rules going in. One party now wants the rules changed in mid-stream and while I am never one to advocate anyone being disenfranchised in any election, I don’t see this situation as one which fits that bill.

The potential for fraud and vote rigging is just too great at this juncture is just too great in my opinion.

As children are taught, some lessons are hard learned. The lesson the DNC has learned is don’t count your chickens before they hatch. They thought they would have a nominee by or immediately after Super Tuesday and his name was not Barack Obama. Then an excuse could be made to seat the Florida and Michigan delegates and very few would question the move.

We all know what they say about the best laid plans.
