		<description>I think we all agree with you there, Guss.  The writer of the quote was saying we should do it ourselves, though, instead of using the government to do it since the government will not return dollar for dollar what is put in for that purpose.  We have those pesky bureaucratic salaries and buildings etc to pay for from it.

On the other hand, I'm like you in this area.  When you and I were growing up we saw neighbors in action helping other neighbors.

This still happens to a certain extent, but I just don't see today's charities capable of sending money directly to the needy every month so the needy can live a decent life.

I just wish we could trim the fat from the government programs and do more with fewer bureaucrats.  That way more money would be in the pipeline for the truly needy.</description>

We are free to leave anytime or change it through our vote. That's just the way it is in this wonderful country.
