We Are Officially Endorsing McCain
After searching my conscience about all three faulty candidates still in the race, I have decided to endorse John McCain for President of the United States.
You will find a link to his site on our sidebar, which will take you to his homepage where you will, hopefully, donate a couple of dollars in his quest to become President of the United States.
There’s no use whining we didn’t get the ideal candidate, as he has enough delegates to get the nomination.
There’s no use sitting out the election as that would be a vote for a candidate that would lead us down the garden path to socialism.
He’s not the best on all issues, but he is the best of the choices we have this year, and therefore I whole-heartedly endorse him, for whatever it’s worth.
I think Sue has the same feelings, but I’ll let her speak for herself if she wishes.

I actually did not know you had not endorsed Senator McCain previously. I realize I was simply aware of your decision from a compiliation of postings. I’m looking forward to the end of this. I have to be available to the Department of Justice on every election day because of my Native American Voting Rights program, so my family will early vote today. I was not aware until last evening that Ron Paul is on our ballot, so I have a candidate from each of my neighboring states. I am curious if Dr.Paul’s supporters, who still appear boisterous on the internet, will create any problems at the convention. Am also wondering if a Liberatarian Party candidate will make it onto the ballot in November. I also noted the furor over Senator Clinton’s remarks about the assassination of Robert Kennedy. Leaving politics aside, the feigned “outrage” over her remarks appears completely disengenous. She clearly wasn’t saying anything offensive. In context, she only noted the nominating process has frequently taken us into early summer. Senator McCain worked hard and got significant early victories. This could easily be the same problem facing the GOP in the future. It’s not that long ago that Guiliani and Romney were looking very strong. Anyway, you folks enjoy your Memorial Day weekend. I’m off to walk the freeloaders. We got a Corgi puppy Monday and she’s a handful. The cat is very mad, but the freeloaders like her. We’re having cool and rainy weather. I’m turning 60 on Monday and have a fierce poker game scheduled between me and 6 ladies–who always take my nickels and dimes(we have a 25 cent max)! Senator McCain will be in the southern part of New Mexico this week-end, but its four hours away. President Bush will be here to campaign for one of the Congressional candidates. Don’t know whether that will help or hurt.

Happy B-day to you, David.
J, hope the spouse is ok.
Sue, I agree with you that this has gone on way too long. Seems like election ‘08 started in Nov. 06. Who’s watching the country? Big issues are not being addressed because of congressional hearing after hearing designed to make the other side look bad. It’s shameful behavior. And the price of oil continues to rise while domestic production falls. . .
McCain is the best major candidate out there and we have to get behind him, like him or not. I concur with your endorsement.

Good to see you!
Isn’t it sad that something so important and usually exciting as a presidential election year is becoming such a drag on so many people?
Hope all is well with you and your family!
Happy Birthday to you David..and many, many more!

David, my love
Happy birthday to you! Now you’ll be the same age I am until October.
COgirl, it’s so very nice to see you. As you probably noticed I stole your email for a post. Had a hard time uploading the picture though.
You’re so smart in the oil field it would be welcome if you decided to at least do a guest post on the topic.
David, vote early and vote often!

The old oil patch. . . Makes my blood boil to watch what’s going on in Congress. Hopefully more and more people are starting to realize just who is blocking the domestic supply side of the problem. The demand side has to be addressed as well and the MPG standards were recently increased to make that happen. But you can’t solve the problem with just one side of the equation.
If the creative juices get flowing, I just might send you a guest post!
