Soldiers Mom links to a new website with valuable information for the parents of those in the Armed Forces either in the process of being deployed or already in theatre.
Deployment is a stressful time not only for those in uniform but also for their families.
Parents Zone has not only many useful and meaningful tips but could be a great life line for those left here at home.
Historical Documents galore (all on one comprehensive page) can be found at Patriot Post.
It’s like a one stop shop for history buffs and researchers alike.
Rick Moran lays out his thoughts on an Obama Presidency in this piece entitled Embrace the Horror.
This was my Read of the Week, not because I necessarily believe that Senator Obama has a lock on the White House but if he secures the nomination and is elected in November, I agree 100% with the following two paragraphs:
The next 4 years will see the US tested as perhaps it hasn’t been since the end of World War II. Our alliances, our security, our leadership in the world – all will present enormous problems for the next Commander in Chief. Couple that with a moribund economy and a restless citizenry searching for a unity of purpose and you have perhaps the most daunting challenges a new chief executive will have faced at least since Reagan and possibly since FDR.
I know one thing. Obama will be the only president we have. Doing everything we can to support him – at least as far as our consciences allow – could make the difference between success and failure.
Long ago when I was in grade school we had health classes. I can remember both boys and girls being embarrassed by many topics which were broached by our teachers. By today’s standards those teachings were nothing.
One school, however has a teacher who has gone well beyond what should be taught in a school environment (at least in my opinion.)
Warning: If you have children of school age, you may not wish for them to view the material in this piece.
Middle-schoolers at Fort Herriman Middle School in Utah had a, well, interesting lesson plan waiting for them which made their parents furious. They were taught all about sex! Europe, here we come…
Have a nice weekend all!
