In church yesterday we had a presentation of the American flag, the flags of the states and the POW-MIA flag. We pledged allegiance to the flag.

Patriotic music abounded and all veterans and active military were saluted by branch of the service as the song for their branch was sung by the choir.

People who served in the Viet Nam era were presemted with a commemorative coin that had the map of Viet Nam on one side and the medals for that war on the other side.

The church was packed as there was only one service instead of the usual two. About 2000 people were in attendance.

Even though all the patriotic music took a long time the pastor still delivered a full sermon.

I wouldn't live in any other country even if I had the chance, and I am so grateful God placed me in this country rather than someplace else.
