Commander in Chief. President of the United States of America. Leader of the Free World. These are titles to which Barck Obama aspires.

What a shame that this man and his campaign could not find the time at one of their rallies to honor America with a rendition of the National Anthem. HT:Wizbang

Not present, or at least not singing the National Anthem at the rally was Londonderry senior Zach Bencal.

Bencal, who sings the anthem for a number of school events and is actively involved in local community theatre, had been contacted by the Obama campaign to sing the anthem. He agreed to do so, then was told later in the evening the anthem had been scratched from the program. Bencal said he was told by the campaign the decision was a simple programming change to make room for another speaker.

“I guess it just wasn’t meant to be,” Bencal said.

Sandra Abrevaya, communications director for the Obama campaign’s Manchester office, confirmed the choice had simply been a last-minute scratch from the rally’s program, which included the Pledge of Allegiance.

“We regret the miscommunication with Zach about today’s event but we are pleased that several other New Hampshire residents were able to speak at today’s event, where thousands of voters in both parties gathered to hear Sen. Obama discuss his plan to bring the change we need to Washington.”

One more speech of praise and admiration. One more promise of change.

None of this change and hope is worth a whit if it does not include this:

There, now I feel better!

Obama seems hell-bent on slapping the people of this country in the face as often as he can and he gets away with it. That’s what bothers me; he gets away with it.

He is possessed by something that allows him to get a pass on every single thing he does that is outrageous.

He mocks the working class and then gets away with it when he talked about the people of Pennslyvania in San Francisco.

He attends a function with other Democratic primary participants and doesn’t put his hand over his heart at the playing of the National Anthem and gets away with it.

He does this when he could have spent a few extra minutes at his love-fest in New Hampshire, and he’ll get away with it.

He mocks the average Joe and he may or may not get away with it.

He calls in the lawyers at the drop of a hat if everyone isn’t marching to his tune. It’s almost as though he believes this whole messiah thing.

If he gets in office we can just call him “Our great leader”.

This is an evil man, I am convinced more and more, and any respect I had for him is fast going away.

If he doesn’t respect the country he wants to lead, then what is it he really wants? Does he want to be the world leader for life?

He may be a messiah, but he’s a false one and I won’t follow him. I’m going to vote the Bible.

I don’t think it’s “as if he believes the whole Messiah thing” anymore, I believe he absolutely does.

Think about it. When you only surround yourself with those who offer praise and hang on your every word, when you have a media who has drooled over his “coming” and when you make yourself believe that the world is at your feet..well I don’t think I need to say more.

It is frustrating that not only does Obama but the Democrat party get away with just about anything with little scrutiny.

Respect, well one has to earn it and by his own actions the Senator is a long way from earning mine. President or not, as I have said before, I have the ability to respect the office but not the man. Should he be elected I think my mind is already made up unless he can prove himself worthy.
