Count your blessings, eat hearty, enjoy the company you will keep, cheer for your favorite football team, drive safely and simply have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Restless night tonight. Last night our church hosted again the Presbyterian church in our town for a musical service with the two preachers delivering a short message each.
These are the two largest churches in our city and it was a beautiful service with the combined childrens’ and adult choirs, orchestras and bell choirs.
I always leave these services uplifted and I wasn’t disappointed this time, although we had received word that a 12 year old granddaughter of some of our Sunday School members had gone home to be with Jesus the night before after a nine and a half month courageous battle with cancer of the spine. Her family has great faith, and though we mourn with them we know she is finally out of her pain and suffering and can run like any other twelve year old. No more pressure sores, after-effects of chemo, but a big void in the lives of her family.
