Does Pelosi Plan to Implement a One-Child Policy?

Below is a quote from an interview with Nancy Pelosi by George Stephanopolous on This Week at ABC.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Hundreds of millions of dollars to expand family planning services. How is that stimulus?

PELOSI: Well, the family planning services reduce cost. They reduce cost. The states are in terrible fiscal budget crises now and part of what we do for children’s health, education and some of those elements are to help the states meet their financial needs. One of those – one of the initiatives you mentioned, the contraception, will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government.

STEPHANOPOULOS: So no apologies for that?

PELOSI: No apologies. No. we have to deal with the consequences of the downturn in our economy.

So, contraception helps our economy and she has told us why the several hundred thousands of dollars going to contraceptives is not really pork barrel spending, but is actually good for the economy.

I think this woman has met the requirements of having the Peter Principle applied to her: Sooner or later everyone rises to his (her) level of incompetency.

We knew she was a wacky-doodle in the last congress, but with a foolproof majority she has really stuck out like a sore thumb in this congress, which is only days old.

Well, as she said, We won. As the new president told the Republican leadership of congress last week when they gave him input on the stimulus package he said he wanted (the input that is), “I won.” Then he added, “I trump you.”

How I love this new age of post-partisianship and reaching across the aisle.

Remember, elections do have consequences and with the big majorities in the House and Senate the leadership is going to shove it down our throats. I just hope we don’t die of suffocation.
