When I was working my last assignment my work group consisted of 7 African-Americans, 2 whites and 1 American Indian.

We had difficulties at first because the 7 wanted to stir trouble. Not all, but maybe one or two and the others followed.

After a trying time we all became close friends and co-workers. We did go to lunch together and sometimes arranged something for after work. But we lived in different cities and socializing on week-ends was just not practical if we wanted to spend time with our children and husbands.

One of the original "trouble-makers" even told me when she transferred to Philadelphia to be sure to send an invitation to my daughter's wedding. And she came to it, along with all the others! I also drove 50 miles to one of their weddings and saw other non-black faces there. We had a great time.

After being a social butterfly to meet and greet everyone I went to that group of people and we hung out at the reception.

I've been to diversity classes that were telling us to be more tolerant of African-Americans.

I don't need Holder to tell me how I should spend my free time. I have been to African-American funerals for people I cared deeply about, and they have been to white funerals for people they cared deeply about.

One glaring thing I did notice, though, was Michelle Obama had a group of children at the White House to discuss Black History month. A scan of the room showed not one white face. Surely there were white children who would have loved to have been included in this group. So who is not being tolerant? It's not just the whites.

Any racism being propagated now is coming from the highest officials in our government and causing resentments I thought were finished. I don't want another race war.

Yes, there are some whites who hate anyone without lilly white skin, but they are not the majority anymore.
