“Books, to the reading child”
Books, to the reading child, are so much more than books — they are dreams and knowledge, they are a future, and a past.
~ Esther Meynell ~
In The Voyage of the Dawn Treader C. S. Lewis describes Eustace Scrubb, the insufferable cousin of the Pevensies, as a child who hadn’t read “the right sort of books”.
As a child I was fortunate enough to read those sort of books! These are the books that capture the imagination and build a world in which a child can delight and roam. As they do so, the very best of the right sort of books touch a child’s heart–-they touched my heart–-because integral to the story were the deep truths of goodness, love, friends, home, reunion, courage and perseverance in failure and the overcoming of evil.
Tolkien in his essay, “On Fairy-Stories”, wrote (The Tolkien Reader; 85-86, 87, 88):
The consolation of fairy-stories, the joy of the happy ending: or more correctly of the good catastrophe, the sudden joyous “turn”…does not deny the existence of dyscatastrophe , of sorrow and failure: the possibility of those is necessary to the joy of deliverance; it denies (in the face of much evidence, if you will) universal final defeat and in so far is evangelium, giving a fleeting glimpse of Joy. Joy beyond the walls of the world, poignant as grief.
…In such stories, when the sudden “turn” comes, we get a piercing glimpse of joy, and heart’s desire, that for a moment passes outside the frame, rends indeed the very web of story, and lets a gleam come through.
…in the “eucatastrophe” we see in a brief vision that the answer may be greater–it may be a far-off gleam or echo of evangelium in the real world.
In a letter to his son Tolkien explains his term eucatastrophe (Letters of J. R. R. Tolkien, 100):
I coined the word ‘eucatastrophe’: the sudden happy turn in a story which pierces you with a joy that brings tears (which I argued it is the highest function of fairy-stories to produce). And I was there led to the view that it produces its peculiar effect because it is a sudden glimpse of Truth, your whole nature chained in material cause and effect, the chain of death, feels a sudden relief as if a major limb out of joint had suddenly snapped back. It perceives – if the story has literary ‘truth’ on the second plane (for which see the essay) – that this is indeed how things really do work in the Great World for which our nature is made.
C. S. Lewis and Tolkien are the masters at this. I read Lewis as a child although I discovered Tolkien as an adult. However, there were numerous other authors I read growing up that also interwove their stories with pictures of truth, ranging from P. L. Travers and her Mary Poppins books to Laura Ingalls Wilder and The Little House books and Louisa May Alcott.
Why were these books important and profound? I knew enough sorrow and evil as a child and these books placed that pain within a larger context of joy and truth. They saved my mind and heart and strengthened the kindness and goodness that I did see and know.
I became a Christian the summer after my freshman year in college. I found I knew God in a relationship that was a reality grounded in reason.
I met the One who is Truth. I met the One who is Joy.
The evangelium gleam I had only glimpsed before, I met in the person of Jesus Christ.
It was then that I realized, as Tolkien had written (The Tolkien Reader, 88-89):
The Birth of Christ is the eucatastrophe of Man’s history. The Resurrection is the eucatastrophe of the story of the Incarnation. This story begins and ends in joy.
There is only one book that I have ever seen simply referred to The Book. The Bible is the center of my world view. Other books have brought insight and discernment and refreshment to me–but none like God’s Word because it is the Living Word of the Living God. It is the one book in which every time you read it, you can meet the Author heart to heart and discuss the pages with Him.
I wrote this post as a labour of love and gratitude to C. S. Lewis and to the other authors of my childhood who gave me many hours of happiness and hope as their words unknowingly prepared my heart for the lasting Hope of the Gospel.
I thank the Author who gave them talents and inspiration through which they gave a glimpse of joy to a little girl.

Freedom of Speech Need Not Apply
It was only a matter of time:
A new White House policy on permissible lobbying on economic recovery and stimulus projects has taken a decidedly anti-First Amendment turn. It’s a classic illustration of Big Government trying to control every aspect of a particular activity and in the process running up against civil liberty.
Check out this passage from a post on the White House blog by Norm Eisen, Special Counsel to the President on Ethics and Government Reform (emphasis added):
“First, we will expand the restriction on oral communications to cover all persons, not just federally registered lobbyists. For the first time, we will reach contacts not only by registered lobbyists but also by unregistered ones, as well as anyone else exerting influence on the process. We concluded this was necessary under the unique circumstances of the stimulus program.
[Emphasis-admin]
Talk about shredding the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
This administration is beginning to take liberties where they should not tread.
What happened to all the talk of honest and open government or the claims of future civil debate. Oh wait, that debate is only permitted if you come down on the side of those who are unraveling the fabric of this country in short order.
What say you?

Have A Good Weekend All
Posting may be light this weekend as Jeanette is under the weather and I have what stacks up to be a pretty hectic schedule.
INC is back, much to our delight, and if she should post it will certainly be something worth your while to read.
Enjoy your weekend. Relax and have fun if you can.
See you Monday!
Note To Israel..Give, Give, Give Or We Will Take, Take, Take
In today’s political climate in Washington when you are presented with a request, you are simply expected to comply.
Benjamin Netanyahu did not.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told his Cabinet that Israel will not build new West Bank settlements, but it will continue construction in existing communities to accommodate “natural growth.” The announcement follows a White House summit last week, during which U.S. President Barack Obama urged Mr. Netanyahu to halt settlement activity.
Why on earth would the United States government make demands of Israel, one of our strongest and most reliable allies, while disregarding the actions of the terrorists who have worked tirelessly to destroy a sovereign nation?
It’s not enough to talk down America at any turn, and at tremendous cost, now the new administration is making an attempt to weaken Israel’s defense?
WASHINGTON – The Obama administration has blocked Israel’s request for advanced U.S.-origin attack helicopters.
HT:Ace
Congress better think twice about this one.
If Barack Obama challenges Prime Minister Netanyahu in regard to the governance of Israel and more importantly the well being of her people, he will lose. He darn right well should.
American Principles Project: Winning on Principle
A few weeks ago phineas gage commented at Be John Galt,
Conservatism does not need to be reinvented.
It needs to be remembered.
Well, today I am excited to introduce to you the American Principles Project, launched Thursday, May 28th, at a press conference by Robert P. George, J.D., D.Phil., the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence and Founder and Director of the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton University. He is the founder of the American Principles Project. (He was also busy debating Doug Kmiec on Thursday!).
From the APP About the Project page, Foundations of the American Principles Project:
If these timeless principles are to be restored and our national commitment to them renewed, then a new voice is needed in American politics, a voice that is unafraid to stand up for what is right and speak out against what is wrong…
The American Principles Project has been created to help every citizen who truly wishes to be part of what our founding fathers called this great, “experiement in ordered liberty,” to be an informed citizen, and thus someone empowered to make a difference.
Are we conservatives? You bet we are, if by a “conservative” one means a believer in the rule of law, democracy, limited government and respect for civil liberties, private property and the free market, equality of opportunity, the sanctity of human life, the protection of marriage and the family, and the defense of our nation’s sovereignty and security. For us, these convictions are not platitudes. We are convinced that the renewal of our nation and the flourishing of our people vitally depend on making these historic ideals and commitments once again operative in the laws and policies by which we govern ourselves.
Their Resources page contains what is sure to be a growing list of articles and links to offer some discerning thinking and to give assistance in fighting propaganda. Thomas Peters, who just received a graduate degree, will begin work as their Communications Director on June 1st. His blog, American Papist, has already won recognition. He has provided a link to the APP twitter feed.
Fred Barnes has more information: The Principled Opposition Princeton’s Robert George sets up a conservative activist group with intellectual heft.
For those of you not familiar with George, I think you’ll enjoy reading this article from 2003 about him in action as a professor that also includes some fascinating biographical material:
Conservative Heavyweight: The Remarkable Mind of Robert P. George
The American Principles Project states:
Across the country, Americans are looking for men and women of firm conviction and sound principles to lead our nation into the future. A conservatism that is true to the political and moral principles that made America great will win, and will do so for the best of all possible reasons: because it deserves to win.
John Adams’ words still hold true:
Godspeed to Robby George; may he be one of many who will remind and reinvigorate the people of our nation through advocating and expounding our founding principles.

The supposed stiffest competition for Susan Boyle in the Britain’s Got Talent competition is Shaheen Jafargholi.
For a twelve year old he has an amazing voice.
Check out this satirical post at Sweetness and Light:
One of the great scandals of our age is the fact that America spends more on food than any other nation. Many political leaders are now calling for urgent reform to bring spending on food under control. While food spending is rapidly increasing and many Americans are overweight, some do not have enough to eat.
Despite this high spending, the United Nations reports that, according to surveys they sent to government officials around the world, the quality of U.S. food is ranked very low. Officials in France report that their food is the best in the world. More insulting is the higher ranking that British experts give their food.
Leaders in Congress now point to what they see as the root of the problem: corporate greed in the form of grocery stores and restaurants operating on a for-profit basis. They promise to replace all private grocery stores with a national system of government commissaries, which purportedly will operate far more efficiently without the administrative overhead required to make a profit. As it will take some time to organize the national network of commissaries, initially groceries will be available only at offices of the Department of Motor Vehicles and U.S. Postal Service, which will provide the models for developing a government commissary system.
A Death in Our Family
We received notice that INC’s father passed away on Sunday at 3:15pm.
INC is an occasional poster on our blog and a member of the J’s Cafe Nette family. She is a very devout Christian and is going through a hard time right now, as everyone does when they lose a parent.
We extend our prayers and good wishes to her and her entire family during this very difficult time.
We ask for you to be in prayer for INC and her family as well.
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 30:41)
Wonderful, Just Wonderful
Memorial Day 2009

The Sentinel’s CreedMy dedication to this sacred duty
is total and whole-hearted.
In the responsibility bestowed on me
never will I falter.
And with dignity and perseverance
my standard will remain perfection.
Through the years of diligence and praise
and the discomfort of the elements,
I will walk my tour in humble reverence
to the best of my ability.
It is he who commands the respect I protect,
his bravery that made us so proud.
Surrounded by well meaning crowds by day,
alone in the thoughtful peace of night,
this soldier will in honored glory rest
under my eternal vigilance.

We Had Better All Find That Money Tree
If this bill passes it remains to be seen how quickly Obama blames Bush for the strain its repercussions will put on American families:
Legislation imposing the first nationwide limits on the pollution blamed for global warming advanced in the House late Thursday, clearing a key committee despite strong Republican opposition.
The Energy and Commerce Committee approved the sweeping climate bill 33-25 after repeatedly turning back GOP attempts to kill or weaken the measure during four days of debate.
Have you ever seen an administration or a Congress which puts forth such effort to destroy the budget of both working and retired folks?
Let me put that another way. We will continue pay for elected officials to live the high life while the rest of us live in the poor house.
*What a disgrace. Congressman Waxman admits he does not know the full details of the Cap and Trade bill he co-authored.
Elections really do have consequences.
Let Us “Entertain” You
Like the man doesn’t get enough flowery, favorable press coverage:
Read the TV pool report: “Your Pool was not allowed to go over and shoot POTUS with the team shooting hoops. We protested loudly.”
Now we know why: Obama White House officials decided to do their own media report on the visit, complete with cuts, interviews, and chyrons identifying who’s speaking.
Also, just like a network, they have their own little logo!
Emphasis-mine
Your taxpayer dollars hard at work folks with a bit of self adoration thrown in for good measure.
Good grief!
(Take a gander at the comments. It appears most agree this is beyond the pale.)
Just How Far Will The Long Arm Of The Current Administration In Washington Reach?
If there are those who believe they are exempt from the change which has been thrust upon us in short order by those currently in political power, think again.
This is a prime example of how little consideration is being afforded those who have worked all their lives to build security for their family only to see our government (shamefully) and the unions whisk it away without a second thought.
I fear this is only the beginning.

There Go The Evil Republicans Again
Color me shocked, shocked I tell you! Not.
It’s an AP piece so we don’t want to find ourselves charged for quoting their words, but in a nutshell, it’s all the fault of the Republicans.
Their powers are amazing…gee now they can force the Speaker of the House to condemn the intelligence community, put forth four different explanations for her words and then turn the venom towards a former President.
Now that’s some trick.
Bravo, Thomas Paine
Wonderful!
This came in my inbox tonight and I thought I’d share with you.
This clinic is in north Scottsdale . Sometimes a volunteer will be playing the grand piano as people arrive for their doctor appointments. I was amazed how entertaining it was. This couple takes the cake. Let’s hear it for the old people yea!
In the Mayo Buildings there is a piano that sometimes people stop to play. This is a cute video of two older folks playing the piano in the Gonda Building , and is worth watching.
Fran and Marlo Cowan (married 62 years) playing impromptu recital together in the atrium of the Mayo Clinic. He was 90 in February. He’s 90 and she’s 84. What a delight!
Please Help Some Fine Folks Help Our Veterans
Whether you are a veteran, a member of a family which includes veterans or a civilian who wishes to support our troops, please consider joining The Warrior Legacy Foundation.
On Memorial Day, six years ago, my friend gave his life to save a convoy of soldiers and two journalists. It is fitting that, this week before Memorial Day, we are talking about protecting his legacy.
A few months ago, I was talking with David Bellavia about this very issue. We talked about how the administration tried to make veterans pay for their own health care, how the DHS memos painted all veterans as right wing extremists and potential terrorists, and how there was no one, aside from the American Legion, really working to defend veterans.
So, a few of us decided to start our own foundation – non-partisan – to work with both sides of the aisle to solve veterans issues. We decided that we need to include every generation, every branch of service, in order to stand firm, back to back, and defend our family.
The Warrior Legacy Foundation is born.
Follow the links provided at Blackfive.
It only takes a minute to register and it’s the least we can do to show our troops that we stand behind them on Veteran’s issues.
Enjoy!
Thought this from Pundit Review was well worth passing along:
I had some time to kill yesterday in Washington DC so I did what any good history buff/political junkie would do. Sightseeing! One of the few things left in Washington DC that I had not seen was the Ford Theater and Petersen House.
The post is laden with terrific pictures of both the Ford Theater and the interior of the home where Lincoln died.
My Little Bit of Knowledge of How Bankruptcy is Supposed to Work
In another life I worked in collections for one of the largest corporations in the US. At the time it was the largest corporation but it kept spinning off until it sold itself.
We dealt with the small to mid-sized customers who were buying telecommunications equipment from us. Many of our customers wanted to finance and since we had a financing arm of the business we gladly did it for them.
If we had an account worth over $25,000 we were to file a UCC-1 form with the Secretary of State in one applicable state the business was located. We served two states. I forget if the customer had to sign the form, but I believe he did.
This form was sent to the Secretary of State to secure our debt. If the company went bankrupt we were the first in line to be paid, along with other secured creditors.
If we financed a small system under that amount we did not file a UCC-1 and were unsecured creditors. We got what, if anything, was left over after the secured creditors were paid. We usually got nothing.
When Chrysler was forced into bankruptcy due to poor management and government loans and demands for bankruptcy they had “secured creditors” in the form of bond holders. These were companies that invested individuals’ money in the corporation to give capital to Chrysler.
Instead of going to the front of the line as they should, Obama made sure the union, which had no financial input into the company, got more money than the bond holders got. This was money people were using to live on for their retirement or putting into their retirement funds. They lent the money to Chrysler in good faith, expecting to get a return on their investment, and instead got 28¢ on the dollar as opposed to the union receiving 43¢ on the dollar and 55% ownership of the company, which they promptly announced they would sell.
When the lawyer for one of the bond funds complained he wasn’t going to settle for the amount he was told he would get he was threatened by the “car czar” Rattner (forget his first name, but he’s a Chicago boy) that if he didn’t go along the entire White House press corps would ruin his company’s or companies’ reputations. Basically a threat to run them out of business.
The California legislature has had to cut back on expenses and had to cut salaries for home health care workers. It just so happens these workers are members of the SEIU, Service Employees International Union.
The contracts with the state were written with clauses allowing for pay cuts if the funds were not available. Nosirree. The SEIU called Obama and California was told to heck with the contracts, keep their pay or forfeit the federal money they blindly took when the “stimulus” money went to the state.
Both practices are illegal and I would say almost rise to the level of high crimes and misdemeanors if not actually being there.
Obama is helping the unions that put him into office and doesn’t care about the people who are suffering because he’s favoring the unions.
I call it fascism when the government takes over companies and forces these unethical things down their throats while we all sit idly by letting the world pass before our eyes.
Obama still has a 60%+ approval rating, despite most of the country saying we are going in the wrong direction. Well, whose fault is it? Who’s in charge and who put these illegal rules in place? It wasn’t George W Bush and it wasn’t a Republican Congress except for Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe.
And people say Republicans are too far right. Maybe so, but center-right is where most of the country is and I wonder how the silent majority feels about this now and how it will effect them in the future?
I’ve said it more than once: Elections have consequences. Think about it the next time you step into the voter’s booth. Think of your country and your descendants before you think of the pittance you hope to get.
Can We Afford This Government?
I heard and read an interesting factoid on Monday that blew me away. It said that the federal government is spending $1 for every 50¢ it is taking in in revenues.
Most of us (all of us) live in homes and have to have some sort of budget.
If you earn $5,000 a month (after taxes) and spend $10,000 a month how long do you think your household will survive even if you draw down your savings accounts? How long before you have to declare bankruptcy? And would you be so foolish as to do that?
This is what the Obama administration is doing right now. While companies are laying people off the government is on a hiring binge, paying an average salary of $75,000+ to each new employee.
Yeah, that sounds like a lot if you don’t live in a large city and some of the people don’t. Remember this is just the average salary, meaning just as many get less as get more.
We want the world to buy bonds from our country but most of the world is saying no because we have no comprehensive plan to control our spending and deficits and they don’t want to invest money they won’t get back.
Obama said he was going to go over the budget line by line to cut waste. As David Broder said in a Washington Post editorial Sunday, “the mountain labored and brought forth a mouse.” David Broder is not exactly a conservative apologist.
Obama has spent four times as much since he’s been in office as Bush spent in the same time period last year. Yes, Republicans were not as thrifty as they should have been, but by the current administration’s own projections we are on the way to a $1.8 trillion deficit this year alone.
Awhile back someone did the calculations and said if someone were to spend $1 million from the day Christ was born every day until now you still wouldn’t be able to spend a trillion dollars. That’s mind boggling!
About 2/3 of our budget goes to items that have to be funded by law. That doesn’t leave much room for cutting, but it certainly doesn’t leave any room for new spending programs.
Now the inevitible is happening. Do you remember when George HW Bush said, “Read my lips. No new taxes.” and was tricked into increasing taxes with a promise of cuts he never got from Congress? That was his downfall.
Obama promised no tax increases for people who make less than $250,000 a year. Yesterday, on the radio, it was reported he has lowered that figure to $230,000 a year. But that’s just salaries and if you make less you may feel fine with it.
Tell me how much you are paying for federal and state taxes on gasoline, fuel oil or natural or LP gas. Has it gone up? Well, if he gets his cap and trade policy you can count on it going up even more and probably sitting in the dark freezing next winter. Can you afford for your heating bill to go up by approximately $300 per month? I can’t.
If you’re a smoker how much have your cigarettes gone up in the last month or so?
How about the cost of groceries? Has that gone up? Can you afford that with all the other taxes being passed down directly or indirectly to you? If the government doesn’t send you the bill do you blame the grocer for the higher grocery bill or do you realize it is because he and all his suppliers are being more heavily taxed by the government and are passing that along to you?
Now he wants free college education for everyone who qualifies. That’s a great goal, but where is he going to get the money? Sure, the treasury can print more money, but what is there to back up those notes?
If China called in all its chits how much cash would this country have? Enough to qualify as a third world country, that’s how much.
Elections have consequences and unfortunately we will have to live with those consequences for the rest of our lives, but certainly for at least four more years give or take a couple of months. Maybe the shine will be off Obama but the way the press fawns over him I rather doubt it.
The next president is going to have to overturn every executive order signed by Obama and work with a Congress willing to cut where spending can be cut and tell the agencies to get along with less or the same.
Our country cannot survive by spending twice as much as it takes in. Enjoy your gimme’s now because what the government giveth the government can surely taketh away.
I have noticed Obama always dresses in a black suit. I’ve said in the past he’s an empty suit. Now I tell you never to trust a man in an empty black suit. He’s getting to be more of a fascist than a socialist. He’s taking over private companies and trying to tell them how to run their businesses. That’s what they get for having their hands out. Now even the banks that want to pay back the loans with interest are not allowed to do so.
This is the new America. I hope all Obama voters are happy.
Some Weeks Are Just Like This, Yes They Are
Ever have one of those weeks where you wish the days had 48 hours. Such is the balance of this week in our household.
Scheduled appointments, a send off party for my Niece who is heading to Namibia, South Africa in what will be her initiation into the Peace Corps, and fun activities with our granddaughter’s kindergarten class will be taking up quite a bit of time.
Have a terrific rest of the week everyone and hope to be back with something even remotely intelligent to say either late Sunday or early Monday.
If You Repeat The Lie Often Enough…Well You All Know The Drill
It’s shameful that those in the entertainment business find it so easy to assign labels to those who are exercising their rights in protesting the spending binge on which the country is currently embarked.
Of course, no apologies needed as the real press (by their lack of condemnation of those like Ms. Garofalo,) will race to protect their right to speak their mind.
The powers of this woman must be phenomenal.
She obviously recognizes the racial undertones exuded by each and every individual who attended a tea party.
Wow. To be so all knowing must be a terrible curse.
Tuesday Tid-Bits
Here’s one way to handle the downturn in the housing market.
It’s not a matter of center-right, moderate, or far-right. It is a matter of beliefs:
The Republican Party will not be revived by compromising core principles. If limited government, free markets, personal freedom, American exceptionalism and traditional values are principles republicans can no longer stand up and fight for there can be no resurgence of the party – no resuscitation. The epitaph has already been written.
This is one man who it appears will not be pushed into any corner by any person at any time when it comes to the security of his nation.
So it was that as Israel got ready to celebrate the Jewish Sabbath on Friday, Netanyahu sent up a smoke signal that the White House should have no trouble deciphering. In a briefing with reporters from Russian-language newspapers, he said that Israel would never withdraw from the Golan Heights, which it took after defeating Syria during the 1967 Six Day War.
“Remaining on the Golan will ensure Israel has a strategic advantage in cases of military conflict with Syria,” Netanyahu said, according to several Russian-oriented Israeli Web sites, which published the comments on Friday.
Howard Kurtz cites a few more reasons for the decline of print media.
The only comment I will offer on this story is that prayers and condolences should be offered to those who lost loved ones as they would be in any circumstance where there was a tragic loss of life.

Happy Mother’s Day
Today is the day set aside for our nation to celebrate its mothers.
Sue and I have both lost our mothers and INC’s mother is elderly and getting weaker than she was in earlier years.
I’ve always said I had four mothers: my birth mother, my grandmother, my great-aunt and my aunt. I am down to one of those mothers now.
If I had it all to do over again I’d tell my mother I gained a lot of wisdom from her, but I never realized it until she died. Her death was so unexpected I didn’t have the wisdom to be a better daughter to her. I regret that and will until I see her again in heaven.
Mothers stay up with us when we are sick, cry with us over losing a boyfriend, cry for joy when we make them grandmothers and love us just because.
We here at J’s would like to salute all the mothers who are reading this blog and all the mothers in the world. You just don’t know the love your mother feels for you until you have your own child. Those mothers who have adopted are indeed special women.
Happy Mother’s Day and may it be a joyous one for all.

Now here’s what engineers do!
Read all below before opening the video attachment. Turn your volume
way up.This is almost unbelievable – very, very cool.? See how all of the
balls wind up in catcher cones. This incredible machine was built as
a collaborative effort between The Robert M. Trammell Music
Conservatory and the Sharon Wick School of Engineering at the
University of Iowa.Amazingly, 97% of the machine’s components came from John Deere
Industries and Irrigation Equipment of Bancroft, Iowa ..It took the team a combined 13,029 hours of set-up, alignment,
calibration, and tuning before filming this video but as you can see
it was well worth the effort. It is now on display in the Matthew Gerhard Alumni Hall at the
University and is already slated to be donated to the Smithsonian.
Fantasy, Let Me Introduce You To Reality
Diplomacy is not a bad thing. It has its place and if used effectively can produce positive results for all parties involved.
However, when you attempt to deal with those who would harbor and train terrorists, mere words will generally achieve nothing:
Despite sending two top officials to Damascus this week to try to improve ties, the US has decided to renew sanctions against Syria due to “serious concerns” over the country’s behavior, an Obama administration official said on Friday.
Hmmm. Another of those bad, bad policies seems to have merit. What do you make of that?
