I echo what both INC and Sue have said; INC in the post and Sue in the comments.

Last night was the most exciting night politically for me since I saw Newt Gingrich sworn in as Speaker of the House and since the election of George W. Bush was finally confirmed.

Victory is indeed sweet, but let us not be so complacent that we let this slip away from us.

NY 23 win by Owens wasn't such a disappointment as the Conservative, Hoffman, was not even a resident of the district and the hand-picked candidate by the party leaders was as good as a Democrat anyway, so either way if she had won or Owens won it was a liberal vote.

The party needs to understand the people should decide their candidates even for special elections and not let it be decided in a pizzeria by 11 people.

The tea party movement is still going on with a trip headed to Orlando right now. People are fed up with the way our country is being run and anyone who is a part of it is at serious risk of being unemployed next year, along with the rest of the regular people who are out of work even now due to their policies.

Blaming Bush no longer works and we will hold their feet to the fire to take responsibility for the actions they take to ruin this country we love so much.

Yes, conservatism is on the rise again, but let us not forget there are places in the Northeast that we will never get a conservative because they can't be elected there. We still need those people at least for organizing purposes when we take over Congress once again.

I soooooo look forward to next year's mid-term elections when I will have a chance to participate in the bloodbath the Democrats will experience, and I look forward to the day Plosi and Reid are settled comfortably in their estates in their home states.

Next, comes Obama and we'd better be ready for this golden-tongued rascal.

Watching Jon Corzine go down in defeat tonight was a sweet moment.

Not only does this prove that those who use political power to enhance their own profile will eventually fail, it absolutely confirms the sentiment in one of the nations bluest of blue states is no longer one of status quo as long as one has a (D) following their name.

As for Virginia, that win was all but expected but the margins were far greater than most predicted (how sweet it was). These races sent a clear message that voters are no longer taken in by hopey, changey campaign rhetoric rather, they expect those entrusted with their vote to listen and act upon the wishes of the electorate.

Conservatives long journey back began tonight. Now we all have a responsibility to do our part to see this is only the beginning of the climb up the steep hill.
