Here’s the YouTube description:
More than 200 dancers were performing their version of “Do Re Mi”, in the Central Station of Antwerp. with just 2 rehearsals they created this amazing stunt! Those 4 fantastic minutes started the 23 of march 2009, 08:00 AM. It is a promotion stunt for a Belgian television program, where they are looking for someone to play the leading role, in the musical of “The Sound of Music”.

Wonderful!
This came in my inbox tonight and I thought I’d share with you.
This clinic is in north Scottsdale . Sometimes a volunteer will be playing the grand piano as people arrive for their doctor appointments. I was amazed how entertaining it was. This couple takes the cake. Let’s hear it for the old people yea!
In the Mayo Buildings there is a piano that sometimes people stop to play. This is a cute video of two older folks playing the piano in the Gonda Building , and is worth watching.
Fran and Marlo Cowan (married 62 years) playing impromptu recital together in the atrium of the Mayo Clinic. He was 90 in February. He’s 90 and she’s 84. What a delight!

Was Barack Obama’s luck o’ the Irish what led him to purchase and then sell this particular stock at very specific times?
However, the company had been around since 1980, and had never brought a single drug to market. Yet guided by his preternatural capitalistic savvy, Chairman Zero bought the stock. By some remarkable coincidence…
8 months after Obama bought the stock, the company was awarded a $28 million contract from the federal government to research treatments against biological warfare or a bioterrorism attack.
AVI Biopharma spiked in price… and days after the announcement, Obama sold his shares and booked a 73% profit.

How about this for picture of the week?
Senator DeMint has shown great courage lately through his actions in the Senate. Calling for a vote on the Fairness Doctrine as early as next week would be another moment worth watching:
Sen. Jim DeMint announced that he will force a vote next week on a bill that prevents the Federal Communications Commission from reinstating the Fairness Doctrine.
The South Carolina Republican’s bill, the Broadcaster Freedom Act, is cosponsored by John Thune, R-S.D., and 27 others and will be offered as an amendment to the D.C. Voting Rights bill…
Let’s get it out in the open. America should see how each of their elected officials lean on this matter.
Cowards, huh? That’s a heck of a thing for a Attorney General of the United States to say.
Here is the best take down of Holder’s statement I have read to date.

Leapin’ Lizards..No Wait, That’s Lemurs
The Besancon Zoo in Eastern France welcomed the arrival of a baby Sifaka in late December. ‘Tahina’ means ‘needs to be protected’ in malgache. With no mother to protect her, ‘Tahina’ is seen living up to her name by clinging tightly to a surrogate stuffed Mommy Lemur.

Think Positive
Think quick!
Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to focus on the positives in your life and why you are blessed to live in America.
You have thirty-four seconds. (No, the video won’t self destruct)
Silly. Maybe. But the gloom and doom thrown at us from all directions recently could blur anyone’s perspective.
A little positive thinking and counting our blessings might just take a bit of the edge off.

This has got to be my favorite story of the entire election cycle:
RWV Excl: McCain Caught In Photo With Younger Woman
And from that “younger woman,” a few quotes which are simply delightful, not in her political preference, but rather the simplicity of statements such as these:
This will make American’s money last long and worth more. That means they can buy more stuff for less money again. Which is really good.
It’s like if you had 1 dollar now, you could only buy one piece of candy maybe a Hersheys bar or whatever you like. But with his plan that dollar could buy you more stuff probably two Hersheys bars. Families need that cause it takes a lot of dollars to buy everything they need and it would be nice to get more.
or this:
Influences: My Mom. Not my dad, cause he’s not Republican. But I still love him a lot, and he’s good for other stuff.
Ah, to be ten, so innocent so honest and so influential..she even convinced her Dad to vote for McCain.

What do Jimmy Dean, Elections And Western Movies Have In Common?

A Children’s Television Treasure
There are many, many children who cut their teeth, so to speak, on Sesame Street.
Heck, there are lots of adults I have known over the years who have gotten one of the catchy tunes performed by those crazy Muppets stuck in their head for days on end. Those who know me well would say I have been guilty of attempting to sing a few of them myself.
Today when reading this article it took me aback though. Has it really been that long?
NEW YORK, June 20 (UPI) — The U.S. children’s TV program “Sesame Street” announced it will welcome its first Indian-American cast member when its 39th season begins this summer.[emphasis-mine]
The character Leela is described as someone who embraces her heritage and culture as she begins her new life in the neighborhood, working in the laundromat next to Hooper’s Store. The show said she enjoys singing, dancing and helping her friends on “Sesame Street.”
Thirty-nine years young..that is what this show has maintained throughout the years, and those of us who have had young children in our midst over those years or even for brief periods of these episodes will no doubt remember a few of the following clips:
Back to the adult world tomorrow but for now I’d like to pass along one of my favorite scenes from Sesame Street which was used many times over as a teaching tool for the alphabet.
Jim Henson would be proud that after all these years his creation is still going strong.
Have a great weekend all and hope this brings out a bit of the child in all of you or at the very least stirs up one or two fond memories.
