Reform Immigration Now…Give All The Power, All The Time, To The Progressives
Not a lot of time this morning for commentary, although I don’t think there is much to add to the words of this SEIU Vice President:
Immigration reform for the sake of political power, not for the good of the country. That seems to be the message, don’t you think?
At least he’s honest enough to admit his motives.
In Defense Of Liberty
This is what a peaceful protest looks like.
The SEIU must now recognize the ramifications of the videos showing their members beating innocent protesters and smashing a camera into the face of a reporter. What other explanation could there be for their lack of presence at the rally outside their headquarters in St. Louis?
Courtesy of Gateway Pundit (article attached to the link above), the video below is a prepared statement written by Kenneth Gladney and delivered by his attorney:
Samuel Adams once said:
The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.
Mr. Gladney is correct, liberty does belong to all of us.
It was fought and paid for throughout our history by the blood of many.
Those who resort to violence in an attempt to persuade us otherwise should not only be condemned but brought to justice.
